Profile: Joachim Olausson joachim@hotelskeppsholmen.se Info About Joachim Olausson Being the Managing Director of new Hotel Skeppsholmen, I have the great opportunity to combine my passion for travel, food & beverage, art, design and music with my daily job. I have worked in the industry over 20 years, most recently at Berns Hotel, and have also spent several years abroad in Australia and USA. I am a Stockholmer since 1992, originally from Swedish textile Mecca Borås, where I still spend quite a lot of time hanging out with my family. In my blog I’ll highlight bits and pieces about Stockholm, Skeppsholmen and the new hotel. About Hotel Skeppsholmen On the lush island of Skeppsholmen in the middle of the city centre, a building from 1699 with an exciting historic background is now being decorated by Claesson Koivisto Rune and will open up 26 October 2009. Our ambition is that Hotel Skeppsholmen will be a true urban oasis, situated on the waterfront and surrounded by beautiful nature and captivating culture, this is a place to reload your batteries. We combine the Swedish historic landmark with the very best of contemporary Swedish cuisine, art, design, fashion and music. The hotel will also be eco-labelled. My colleagues and I will do our utmost to ensure that your experience will be outstanding, whether you are a hotel guest from far or near or a local enjoying a meal in the restaurant.
